Had to pick up some stuff at the Local Man Store, (You know, hardware big chain, starts with L) anyway it was all small stuff so I took the scoot filled the saddlebags and the tourpak and felt the rumble before I started the bike, ahh great lunch time. Headed over to this other place to get my yard bird and sit down and start eating. This car pulls up, parks next to my bike and this guy is getting his kids out of the car, lets out about a 2 year old and isn't watching him at all. The kid makes a b-line for my bike and starts playing with it. I'm thinkin the dad has to see this, he yurns around, looks and goes back to unbuckleing lil Hose-B. Lil hose-A runs around to the other side of my bike and starts tring to climb up on it. That, My friends is when I lost my composure and in a way I do feel bad for screaming the things I did at the guy in front of Everyone in earshot. Why Dear Lord can't people watch thier kids and teach them respect for other peoples property?

How about some quick learned respeck for HOT PIPES!!!!
If that 2 year old would have burned himself, the ingnorant father probably would have tried to sue you. I would have made the guy try to feel bad about endangering his kid!

Kids are attracted to scoots, they can't help if their father is a dick.
Lucky they didn't get burned. You should've had the father grab the pipe to show him what could've happen to the kid. Then he'd also have a scarring reminder for reference in the future in case he had troubling remembering this lesson next time.

Dad seems to be the moron here. Two years old is a little young to expect them respect others items. But not too early to start teaching..

As a youngster, I was taught to keep my hands off other's vehicles period. I have taught that to my kids as well. Hopefully they will teach it to their kids.

My biggest pet peeve is when children visit our house and start grabbing things.Generally their parents don't seem to mind, other thangiving it a little lip service.

Totally not the kids fault. Not sure what movie it was in but I love this line:

"They make you take a test for a driver's license but any a$$hole can be a parent!"

My buddy carries a rag with him and give it to the parents to wipe off. I can't believe some of the guys start wiping and shining the bike. I guess if someone 6'4 345 pounds to my to clean up after my kid or get my face punch I may do it also.

I have four kids (all grown and on "their own") and it never ceases to amaze me the uncaring parents who just let their BRATS run loose and damage other's property. I have embarassed many parents esp the one who picked his kid up and sat him on my bike! Resturants ,churchs, malls we always gotta put up with undisplined kids. We spend more energy controlling rodents than they do their "kids" Don't feel bad about yelling after all us bikers are all tatooed bullies anyway![sm=usa.gif]
