Default Alarm Transport Mode

Question: after the alarm system is put into the “transport” mode, is the ignition still dynamic or is it killed with the FOB NOT present? In other words, is the bike totally unprotected while in the “transport” mode?

Default RE: Alarm Transport Mode

This help??

Transport Mode
In the transport mode, the Harley-Davidson Smart Security System is armed but the motion detectors are inactive. The motorcycle can be transported on a trailer or moved in storage without activating the alarm while the starter and ignition remain disabled.

You do need both the fob or know the security code & key to put the bike into transport mode, turn on the ignition or activate the fob, the push button ones at least and it will return to normal mode.

It is not storeage mode that is something else, it is intended for use when servicing, washing, transporting the bike, not recomended to leave the bike parked up in that mode, but even if you do and leave the ignition unlocked as soon as you turn the bike on the alarm will activate.
