My 04 stock RG will do 100+. But at that speed it want to fly up at that speed above a 100 mph wind. It will do it but gets real light on the road. Now my 07 lowrider will do over 120 mph.
I don't understand why some guys build motors and don't ride over a 80 MPH. That's like buying a Corvette and obeying the speed limits all the time. As far as FL I recieve a ticket there doing 95 and nothing happen but getting a ticket.
yep the GW has a couple hundred (there abouts) cc over you.
Liquid cooled better tq and hp he will outrun you.
My buddies 84 GW would outrun my 06 EGC.
Guess HD just can't or won't make a stock go fast bike.
We have to spend another couple grand to do it.
I have had my Kawasaki zx-11 in the 160s and occationaly get my Ducati in the 130s on the track. Top of third gear racing enduros through the trees can be entertaining. When I get my Ultra up over 80-85 I am getting nervous. Its doesn't inspire confidence at those speeds. Not designed for it. To each his own, use caution.
you want a thrill, try taking a 78 shovelhead above the 90mph. did get that rat over hundred a couple of times.
one reason i had the stage 1 done on my 07 was i wasn't happy with the pull to 100mph. to me the benchmark is 100. it needs to pull strong up to that, which means it should top about 115. the 07 does it no problem
Twice I tested the limits on two wheels. Once was on my 97 hopped-up Sporty. I hit 95 mph on it. Talk about rattling your bones. And the only time I eclipsed 100 is when I had a VTX1800. I hit 110mph on it. It was still asking for more. I am not comfortable at those speeds at all. I'll stick to 75mph and below thank you.
