Every bike I have bought new included an owner's manual. The last one came with a tool kit and adequate storage as well. As for a center stand, some bikes are designed with one and others aren't, Harley is one of the latter. I'm glad I didn't have to pay for a center stand I don't want.

Let me take a wild guess here;

1. HD is popular enough to overcharge up front, give you the bare minimum.

2. See HD catalog to spend more.

1 + 2 = successful company riding the wave until competition accumulates 100 plus years success and a multi-million loyal following.

At least the dealer threw in a free t-shirt!

My buddy "The Reverend" just bought a new street glide and there was a harley tool kit in the saddlebag when he brought it home. Mistake?? Either way, I sure wish my RK had come with one of those.

I got a tool kit with my new RG when I bought it in 06, but they coulda offered me a different set of pipes of my choice The extra's I can live without, what gets me is the quality of the gauges they use, They coulda used ones that dont fog up[:@]. I mean, you spend 17,000 plus on a bike, and what do ya get? gauges that fog, and one that is totally worthless, air temp

Free tool kits are always junk.

No room under seat for junk tool kit.

Center stand would just be something else to throw away.

I got my 07 Ultra Classic for free but I had to pay 23k for a t-shirt.
