Sure, any 'extra' would be nice....if were at no extra cost. It's all about the numbers. We all know, how Harley Davidson thinks...They are profit driven...pure and simply. If their sales aren't hurting in the marketplace, then you are not going to see the little extras that help boost sales. They are not going to offer it unless they have to. Not much unlike getting a toaster oven for opening up a bank account in some places. It's just a gimmick to boost sales. Somehow I don't think a $10 tool kit will make any difference.

Personally, I would rather have another years warranty than a cheapie tool kit.

anything that Harley gives you, you pay for, why would you want to pay for what they think you want for accessories when you can customize your ride with what you want and without their markup being added to the cost?

At least the dealer threw in a free t-shirt!

My buddy "The Reverend" just bought a new street glide and there was a harley tool kit in the saddlebag when he brought it home. Mistake?? Either way, I sure wish my RK had come with one of those.
Not a mistake.I got the same thing. I think it is a nice tool set for free. The wrenchs even say Harley on them.

I was just happy to be getting a Harley, she was pricedlow for the mileage and mods (quick detach screen, stage 1, SE II's, PCIII, alarm, highway bar, etc) and they came off another $800. No plaques or shirts came with my bike, butI did get a free kickstand puck, Harley Detail kit and 10% off my boots and gloves.

Free tool kits are always junk.

No room under seat for junk tool kit.

Center stand would just be something else to throw away.
Hmmmm, well, let's see. . . . . . .

1. Free tool kits obviously aren't as good as one that you spend $75 for, but they usually include basic enough roadside tools (screw drivers, allen wrenches, sparkplug wrenches, etc.). More than you'll ever use on the side of the highway at 10:00pm! I wasn't planning on doing a 5000 mile check up with it!

2. There'd be plenty of room under the seat for said tool kit . . . . . .if they'd design the bike to includeit! But hey, why should they when youare willing to spend even more money for tool bags and$75tool kits.

3.If you would throw away a good center stand, give me a call. I've got swamp land in Florida for sale. Center stands are great. You can't see them when they are up. They are great for when you clean your bike. And they are really nice at the gas station when you have a nice level bike to work with! Everyone who sees mine, including the dealer, raves about it. Those who have had them before know what I mean.

Don't be so closed minded.

I bought a left over 07 Ultra and got 2 free T-shirts, a $1,000.00 gift card to the dealer, and 20% off accessories and service for the first year. I am good with that.
