I did mine after the break in and before the 1000 mile service. I did it myself and I've never really worked on a bike before. V&H slipons, Fuelpak and SE air cleaner. Pretty easy job that took me about two hours.

Safe yourself some $$$ and do it yourself. It is quick & easy and gives you a chance to monkey with your bike a bit. I have the V/H Oval Slip ons & Fuel Pak with SE A/C. All very easy install. The fuel pack works great and is easy to install and program.
Them boys back in Milwaukee know your bike better than anyone else. As long as you do not plan on any further engine mods, the Screaming Eagle Stage 1 package (slip-ons, A/C, ecm download) is a package that is engineered for your bike. The SE muffs have a deep, rich, mellow, sound that compliments a Harley perfectly. Installation of the muffs and a/c is a total no brainer. I had the dealer do the download. Buy the parts at any one of the 20% off online dealers and put a couple of hundred bucks in your pocket........you'll need it for gas.
The problem is that the Stage one kit takes a whi9le before it really breaks in. Like you bike, when it was new, sounds different than after you'vew put some miles on it. In order to appreciate the SE slip-ons, you've really got to take it out on a highway run, for about 200-300 miles and let those puppies get hot and dirty under load.
Guarantee that they will sound better after that. Same holds true for stock pipes. Give em a chance to do their thing.
