Default Burning thighs

http://www.nightrider.com/biketech/hd2007HD_heat_00.htm

The following is cut and pasted from the above link:
With the LC1 WBO2 upgrade in place, the HD engine was 15-20% cooler under the same operating conditions and never went into high temperature operating mode.

Searched this forum and found a few references to the upgrade and only a few actually installaing it.BUT if it works as advertised (15-20% cooler) why aren't more 07 & 08 riders switching to this $75.00 upgrade? Would estimate100's of riders on this forum complaining about the heat and only a handful actually installing. Am I missing something?

A lot of us have that extened warrantry, and are not sure whigh non h-d parts can be gotten away with and still be covered by rhe MOCO. Also kidds remember That theE.P.A. willcome with S.O.M.G. testing for all motorcycles in the coming years.

The IED's go on in 5 mins and can be removed just as quick. Invisible to the ECM. If your worried, it's nothing to take off before you go to the dealer.

If you want, go to the tech section. There's a 650+ posts on them. The poster above is right. The IED's are 79.00. The Lc1 is hard to hide. It's the IED's you might want. I have them. The bike sounds better and responds better as well. It might be cooler, but it's pretty cold in my neck of the woods anyhow.
