I will be picking up my 07 this weekend and want to line up some small yet vital upgrades and want to know some good products you all have. here is what I am looking to do.
Speaker upgrade - Hog Tunes or J&M
Antenna - Kurkyakyn or something else around 18" range
Floorboard extensions - looking at the set on ebay that are 2" forward and thenharleygoodies.com 1" out set (6'0 32 inseam)
If you just want a shorter antenna just take the stock one out (all it takes is an allen wrench to loosen the set screw at the base) and cut it off with a hacksaw or cut off wheel. Dress the cut end up a bit and reinstall it. I have Hogtunes speakers but if you want to hear the radio at speeds over 65-70 you better get an amp or a taller windshield.
Hog tunes, MB Quart,Infinity and Kenwood and currently have rockford fosgate
in my not so humble opinion the best are the MB Quart --- you can find them on ebay from $69 to $89 a set.the rockford fosgate has better highs but for all out performance the MB's are hard to beat.
Regarding your inquiry on antenna..J and M has a good one. Ordered mine last year and work fine, 1 for CB and 1 for Radio. A little pricey at$40.00 each...but look good and work great. As far as amp...my 07SE Ultra has the amp mounted under the tour pac. If you have no plans to remove it or reposition it that might be a place to look into.
