has anybody lowered a 08 ultra using the lowering shocks ?
do you have to change the side stand also ? i want to lower mine using the shocks and a streetglide seat
Don't know about the 08's...but I lowered my 07 SE Ultra with the Harley Short shocks. Rather pricey at about $275.00...but save big bucks and put em on yourself. Very easy.
No..the side stand remains the same.
I have kept the same seat that came with the bike, not uncomfortable for me.
I just put 12.5" Progressive shocks on my '07 Ultra, just enough to help my feet find the ground but not enough to change the ride quality.
Folks who are more expert than me, which is pretty much everybody, swears the entire Progressive line is better than the original HD shocks. Agreed on no change to side stand.
