Default Corbin seat fitment....

Just installed my new Corbin seat....seat looks great except where it meets at the tank console, the tip of the seat is riding up on the console about 1/4 inch...I would think it should butt the console thus eliminating a slight gap on the bottom side of the seat nose...anybody had this problem in the past??? And yes I have attempted to pound the seat rearward with my fist in hopes of making up that 1/4 inch....

I had a little trouble getting my Classic Solo on my '07 Ultra. It is a keylock style. There are two points of adjustment, the rear bracket and the front keylock "stud". Maybe contrary to the instructions, the front stud will dictate the distance from the tank console. Then the rear bracket has to be moved to allow the seat to lock into the keylock and fit into the rear bracket. If it won't fit, you may have to tweak the rear tongue on the seat.
Also be sure to check the points on the bike frame where the rubber "bumpers" sit on the frame tubes. I had to wire tie the wiring harnesses to the inside to allow the bumpers to sit on the frame and not on the wire. The seat was tight the first time or two but moving the wires made mine fit. It will "click" twice when it sits all the way down. You may just have to tweak the mounts, clear the wires and smack it into place with a flying elbow. It will be tight at first. But it will go back as it goes down.
Good luck.

007....Thanks..I'll give that a try...I don't think theres any adjustment on the rear mount...but I think I could take a die grinder to it and make it adjustable....if I have too. ( mine is the 2-up Gambler seat)

Put a corbin solo on mt RKC couple weeks back. Each model mounts differently, But my issues with fitment was on me. Didn't get much help from Corbin when I called. Played with the fender mount and the angle the pin meets the hole and got it. As far as price, $369, including shipping, studs, stitching and a comfortable, sweet seat.
