07s and 08srun lean/hot from MoCo, to cool it down some need to have a fuel management system, PCIII, fuelmoto, Fuelpak to richen up the mixture, air filter modifications and exhaust mods will help with performance, dont due exhaust and A/F mods without a fuel management system. There are numerous threads on this subject, can due a search for them. Hope this helps some
'07's do run HOT right out of the box... Putting on a Exhaust SYSTEM by-its-self WILL NOT ADDRESS the Heat Issue..
I see your living in So Cal... What you need to do is finish off the STAGE 1 (Air Kit & Fuel Management System - DO NOT LET THE DEALER do a download.. it will still be running LEAN)
New Exhaust=Too Hot=too lean ??? Different Map?? SERT and stage 1 intake.
Yes......A new exhaust will cause the bike to run lean which in turn will raise the operating temperature. You will either need to rejet the bike (if its has carbs) or adjust the ECU (if its fuel injected).
For fuel adjustments for a FI engine, you can go with a number of different modules and the prices vary. If you are saying you have a SERT and have a stage 1 intake, there may be a map thats close, but a dyno is going to get it dead on.
I think this is what you are asking. I'm not exactly sure of the question either......
Agree with what the others are saying (I have an "07 FLST) but the right cam can also help. I like the SE 204 because it opens the exhaust valve early enough to allow for some more cooling there. I have the SERT on the '07 but am currently experimenting with a V&H Fuel Pac which is a heck of alot less $$$.
Oh yeah, the Allman Bros. would be my favorite of all time. Heard Greg is having some rough times of late. Hope it all works out OK.
