Front fender lowering
Hey Klassic love the way yours looks with the lowers! Does anyone know if the HD Fat Boy bracket will fit with lowers? Catalog says no but that's with the Fat Boy Fender.
PM Biggzed. Either his father or his father's friend has the StreetGlide in the pic he posted. He'd know if there was a clearance issue with using the Fatboy bracket. I can't imagine there being an issue but stranger things have happened.
Going the Native Custom Bagger way is not that difficult at all. If you know a painter you could do the mock up yourself, if not, then it is probably just as costly to just let Paul at NCB hook you up and be done with it. I know a painter and Black is Black and cheap so there was no expense for me.
1) There is adequate tire clearance
2) There is adequate caliper clearance
3) Nothing is going to hit the fender from lock to lock
4) The fender is parallel to the ground (unless you like the stock tilted look)
harleykris - I just used my hand held grinder with a cut off wheel on it. Take it nice and slow cutting from the inside. Mark the new holes you need to drill into the fender and use a center punch. Drill a pilot hole and take it slow. It also helps if you mask around the hole so any shavings don't scratch your paint.
It's a pretty simple change that doesn't take too long.
