Hi, I'm looking to do a stage one on my 07 sg, I've spent a buttload of time on here reading Everyones posts, I'm addicted, I know that alot is opinions and personal choices, BUt I have to ask, Is there a noticable difference in going with a 2 into 1 vs t/d's , I like the look of the duels more than the 2 in to 1 but I have not had a chance to hear any 2 into onesor ridden a bike with that configuration on it, can you raelly tell the differance between a few hp?so I'm a little curiose in the sound differance also? Thanks ahead of time, T
You will feel a big difference in the mid range with the 2 into 1 exhaust. Pulls much harder. The true duals are a little lazy in the mid range. Both will pull hard at high RPM'S . The sound of the 2 into 1 is a little jap bike ish. Go to vance and hines web site. You can listen to there pipes. Good Luck.
True dules sond the best, some like the look of two into one. Both make morehorse power, if there is enough fuel to burn.
Horse power likes high RPMS as race cars do. You will give up torque at low RPMSwhich is fun to have. Take your choice, to
bad we can't have it all.
My butt dyno isn't sensitive enough to notice the difference--the appearance and sound of the Rinehart TD's trumps whatever the diff is in performance.
Just had my true dual Bub 7 dynoed,(no cross over).I gained on both HP and Torque. About +5 HP and +8 fb's. I was afraid I would lose but I gained some.
Going from a stocker to stage one you will gain with the tru-duals, on a built motor the 2-1 will outperform any tru-duals! BTW I have yet to hear any 2-1 on a HD that sounded jap anything!!
It's not only the fact their is only one muffler on a 2-1 exhaust that looks bad, It's the 2 pipes running down the right side that IMO looks like a cluster. I'm sorry but a 2-1 exhaust has gut to put off some major heat on the right leg. Thrust me, If you go with dual your bike will run better than it did stock. 2-1 give you you allittle more torque down low, I am not arguing that. Once again are you going for looks or do you plan on drag racing your bike.
