Busted axle clamp bolt
You might be able to drill it out, use bit one size larger than the bolt to clean the threads.
Well I did it I pulled the front wheel to install my chrome boar on my fender all was well till I started tightning nuts back. I ended up busting the axle clamp bolt. IT KILLED ME!! Anyway I was wondering is there a torque number to set on a torque wrench for when I am able to get out the old one? Also is the top threads that go in the fork the same or reversed?
HELP!!!!
Then you wouldn't of had to wait and most likely you wouldn't have overtightened and
broke the bolt to start with!!
had twisted fingers again corrected spelling.
Dude thank you!! I agree I just needed a little help and don't want to wait for 7-10 days to get a book when I could be out riding. I will get the book but I had NOT intention of pulling the wheel to do what I needed to do. It was Sunday and there wasn't anything open. You have been a big help. Would that number be the same for the Axle nut??
