If you go with the SE Slipons you will need some type of tuner for sure. It must just be the pipes he went with that are making the difference.

I agree with Redscout... I think reading this Forum sometimes makes us WORRY TOO MUCH. You can OVER Do,even good advice and All advice,even tho given with good intentions, is not all times Applicable to me and my situation. So we have to take some and leave some, and hope we make the right choices. Still, the information on this Forum is super, we just have to make the Right Decisions for our situation.

That is how I see it. I race a blown injected drag boat and that is exactly what we look at when tuning the motor for every pass.
By the way my SG doesn't pop or backfire at all. Maybe I was just lucky!

I agree with Overdrive - the plugs can give a lot of good info -- More than that, I am impressed that the dealer didn't try a rip off. Sounds like a dealer building good customer relations. Seldom seen !!
