I have a '97 Ultra and am looking to update the radio. I heard that Sony makes some models for bikes and that you also need to buy a kit that will integrate the controls that are on the bars. Any suggestions as to what will fit and work well?
You should look carefully at the Retro Radio Package because it will include 5.25" speakers--I believe your bike has 4" speakers--that should fit your fairing--ask Mike the owner, excellent customer service.
I purchased a Sony head unit that had iPod and Sirius radio. I also got the interface to keep the hand controls and the dash kit. I haven't installed it yet but look forward to it being an improvement over the HD unit. I really just wanted to add iPod and satelite radio but didn't want the HD upgrade. I intend to install an aftermarket amp and remove my Hogtune amp. Should be a nice setup once completed.
