Front end clunk fixed
Over the past several months, I've noticed a distinct front end clunk sound on my 05 Road King Classic when hitting bumps or applying the front brakes hard. So, today, with a little extra time on my hands, I took the front end apart to see if I could find the problem. Found the steering head nut was a bit loose. Tightened it up, put everything back together and took it for a spin. Low and behold, no more clunk.
If you are experiencing this problem, take a look at the steering head nut.

There is a procedure for setting the correct tension of the steering head bearing, if not within spec it can cause handling issues according to the repair manual, you may want to check it out
Yep, I checked the fall away while I had it apart. It was set right. The steering stem nut had either worked its way loose, or I didn't do a good job checking the torque last time I serviced it.
