My wife and I rode down on Friday. It was strictly 'HO-HUM'. I was not looking for any new additions to our '08 Road Glide, so the exhibits didn't grab much attention. The custom bikes were all 'works of art' especially the paint jobs. It seems that the air brush artists get better every year. From the south end of Boulder City to the turn to Laughlin I counted 11 Nevada Highway Patrol units and one NHP airplane! Needless to say the traffic was all doing 65 to 68 mph. We ate lunch at the Riverside Hotel outside catering effort. It was delicious. I paid $10 for a 44 oz. Coors beer. A little high priced, but the beer maid was worth the extra. The weather air temp was perfect. All in all, it was a very pleasant day for us. 82 miles one way and wonderful weather, what's not to like? ............ BC
Went on Friday. Was able to get the PCIII USB and Big Sucker at a good price, plus shipped direct to the house.
Came from Las Vegas. +1 on the cops and the one in the air.
I rode up for the week end. Seemed like crowds were way down, you could actually walk thru the vender areas. But vender count was down also. Weather couldn't have been better. Zero action on Casino Dr. Gone are the days of the Laughlin bicycle cops being the only law enforcement in town. The bike culture is changing, the River Run'sbecoming more of a fair than a bike rally. You have to change your expectations to enjoy it if you remember the rally from years ago.
Left Redding on Wed late afternoon and arrived in Laughlin on Thur. late, around 6pm... I can't comment on the crowds as this was my first and most likely only ride to Laughlin.
For me it was just a ride to shake out the cobwebs of winter...
Overall it was fun... met some friends there who rode in from LA... has some laughs, some good food, got my (free) run pin...
Left on Saturday afternoon and got home Sunday evening...
Me, I'll stick to Sturgis... I think I prefer spending two tothree weeks on the road...
Rode up early Saturday and left Sunday late morning. This is my fouth trip there since 99, it has changed drastically since then. Got a good deal on a room when I arrived. Vendors, same ole "CRAP", and more of it. Nice bikes at the shows, and in the parking areas. Mostly go to look at the bikes and get away for a couple of days.
Got there on thurs evening and left on sunday morning. Had a great time. I went in 05 as well and it seemed a little less crowded which I rate as a plus. There were still plenty of people there. I'd do it all over again. HEre are a few pics from our trip. https://www.hdforums.com/m_3281911/tm.htm

Me and the wife drove from San Fernando on Thursday fought the winds, they were brutal.
Made it to Lake Havasu got to our hotel, it was real nice, rested up and road into Laughlin on Friday morning Some more bad winds but it was worth it we had a real good time
we road back to our room that evening and left for home on saturday morning
all in all we had a good time seen some new vendors will be going back next year
Took off at 7o a.m. met up with 6 others at the 60 and 10 interchange at 8:00 a.m. We left to laughlin with many stops at watering holes along the way! Anyway it took 10 hours to make it, only 360 miles through Lake Havasu and Topock and off to Laughlin. The ride was great and easy with beautiful riding weather! Laughlin run was down a bit, about 30,000 was estimated by hotel staff,oh well, thats their loss. Didn't ridewhile there (been to all those places many times)Spent all my timein vendor area or casinos, left for home 7:00 a.m. sunday,Funny we got home lot faster!
