I have a 6.5 recurve dark tint clearview that I will sell if some one is interested, I have 8 on my SG right now. or I will trade it for a 12 inch clearview clear or Memphis shade gradient black in 12 inch
i run one of these shields, some people dont like the way it looks but the wife likes it cus it keeps the wind down on her and i can hear the stereo better. For the money its a good shield, i still want to try a clearview. http://www.customflhtwindshields.net
Izzy's got it riight. In addition to my three Cee Bailey SSC's (13,11,10"), I have the standard shaped Bailey in 7" Opaque that is probably my favorite all around windshield for looks. I also have a 9" Cee Bailey tinted standard shape , an 8" tinted Clearview w/ recurveand a Gradient Black Memphis Shade 9". For good measure I also have a 6" Slipstreamer. I like it too but thats as low as I'll go. Re: the Cee Baileys SSC...there are no windshields that give better wind protection. I like the look with the 11 and 10" ones as well as the $170 KW. I don't have any first hand experience with the KW but I can say that for considerably less money the SSC does exactly what it's wind tunnel testing and R&D said it would...significantly decrease the wind at you, and soften the wind that does get to you. Amazing product.
+1 for clearview, just put the 8" light smoke recurve on my SG, no more buffeting and much warmer ride tonight in 45 degree weather than with the 4" stock one.
I have the 6.5' KlockWorks and for buzzing around town and 1-up touring I really like it.... But it was brought to my attention that I need a bit higher one for riding 2-up.
WindVest is also out with the bagger screens. They have 4", 6" and 8". High quality and reasonable price. The screens have their signature flip at the top so they perform taller than what they are.
+2 for Cee Bailieys, I've got the 9 inch on my SG and it works great for a short shield. I'm 6'1" if I were doing a lot of 2 up riding I'd go higher. My $.02
