Cee Bailey's SSC Windshield on Street Glide
The windshield helps a little with the stereo, but not much. Frankly, I'm not all that impressed with the stereo, despite all of the hype. I love the SSC windshield though. I have sizes ranging from 11", 12" and 13" with a 14" on the way. The 13" is my favorite. Remember, you need to subtract about 3" to get the equivalent Harley windshield height. In other words, if a 10" Harley windshield is your preferred height, you need to order a 13" SSC. Great windshield.

The seat in my sig pic is the stocker. Here's a picture of my Mustang along with the Harley passenger backrest for my wife.

The seat is Mustang's one-piece smooth touring seat, p/n 75464. I also have a removeable rider's backrest for it. Here's a link:

How do I get a picture in my signature like you UGGA?
Doug,
Really interested in how it is for the passenger, every time I change the widshield fro stock I get alot of complaining about the turbulence from my other half.
Thanks, HD
Sorry to take so long to respond to your post. Honestly I forgot all about it. I've had my wife out a couple of times now with the SSC. The rides weren't that long - only about 150 miles each, but long enough for her to form an impression. In short - she's quite happy with the SSC. She said that the air which was hitting her was very smooth, not turbulent. The amount of wind hitting her was not necessarily reduced, it's just that what did hit her was smooth.
Unfortunately it's somewhat difficult to evaluate the turbulence coming off of different windshields. The reason for this is because the atmospheric conditions can have a lot more to do with turbulence than the windshield itself. For example, if you're getting hit with a side wind or a head wind, you will experience more turbulence than if you are riding on a calm day or with a tail wind. When comparing different windshields, the only way to get a truly accurate comparison is if the atmospheric conditions are identical. For this reasons, all comparisons need to be taken with a grain of salt.
Long story short - both my wife and I love the SSC.

Let me add my thanks as well. You seemed to answer all the questions I had except - unless I missed it - how tall your are and inseam?
Only interested in terms of windwhield height mind you...
I'm 6'1" 32 inseam, got a SG on order, stock seat to start and oh yes - a wife.
Pete
Sorry to take so long to respond to you. I'm 5'11" with a 32" inseam. I'm rather long-waisted though, so I tend to take a taller windshield than most people my height. Hope this helps.
Doug
