Default RE: '07 Passenger Floorboard Warning

Last year before Sturgis, I moved the passenger floorboards up to the top hole. Tightened em up real good. During the trip out there, both sides fell off. Had a passenger for half the trip out. Broke off the bolts. Both times I was in a parking lot, so I didn't lose the floorboards. Went to HD in Rapid City and got replacement bolts and put them back on. Didn't tighten them up so tight this time. Not a problem since then with 4000 more miles. I'm pretty sure I over tightened the bolts, trying to be sure they wouldn't fall off.

I was going to buy the Kury adjustable pegs for the wifey as well, I have 07 Street Glide and would need to purchase the floorboard mounting kit and the Insert and the Kury peg setup which it would run a total of 600.00 when all said and done.

My right side fell off in Sprearfish Canyon while in SD. I have the Kury adjustable pegs, but cant see how they would effect the floorboard mount. I replaced the bolt and didn't overtighten it. Glad I had no passenger with me and my friends in the back didn't get taken out. Scratched the crap out of the chrome cover.

Wouldn't a grade 8 bolt be the same, regardless of manufacturer? Doesn't seem to make sense to replace 1 with the same quality (if the orig are gr 8). Does anyone know the size?
