Ok, I am looking for a little help on this one. I have the docking station for my SG and the large luggage rack, and I need to relocate the antenna, but I can not see spending $100.00 for the HD antenna relocation kit. I would like to find some sort of clamp to just attach it to the luggage rack.
Does anyone have any ideas on if there is some sort of clamp or kit to do this with?
was faced with same situation, simple use the extra spacers and bolt through hole just above rack, antenna will come out just between fender filler and saddlebag works good
So if I read this right, you left the antenna down where it is, but moved it like an inch or 2 and this worked out??

go to your local stereo shop
not best buy or circiut city ask about hidden ant.
i piked one up for my Gf's glide its a self adhesive long flat strip. stuck it inside the outter faring. it worked great for all functions of the radio.
i also picked up a flat style for my glide from auto zone its ok but i almost always used my sat or mp3
her was like 25.00 mine might have been about the same
if you have trouble finding one pm me maybe i can pick one up and ship it
besdies it will loose that 20 foot whip and clean up the back of the bike even more
I agree with Mac (Pilot). You can put the hidden antenna inside your fairing and do away with the whole relocating problem. Much cleaner look and great reception.
My son bought a short inexpensive antenna at an auto parts store and we mounted it to the bottom left saddle bag bracket with a piece of strap from a hardware store. Works great.
Lots of good ideas on this one!! Thanks for the info. The docking station for the sissy bar should be here soon, and I am going to be putting both of them on at the same time, so I will be looking at this info and how I can mod the antenna mount. I also like the idea of the hidden antenna too, but I just do not want to deal with the fairing part. I can just see my self putting a big scratch in it taking it off. My new driving lights are pretty close to the fairing.
If anyone else has more tips and tricks on this one, please add them.
yes just move antenna up a bit use extra spacer to pull it out a bit so distance is where antena doesnt hit saddlebag or fender filler also i have a short antenna the spacer will be from your docking kit they give u a shitload of extra parts
