I have and 05 Ultra with a Screaming Eagle 6 Speed
tranny. My dealer is 50 miles away. Can someone
tell me what the AMSOIL version of Transmission Lube
would be for my bike and save me a trip and having
time off from work to get it.
Thanks,
Man that was fast I happen to have about a 1/2 Quart of
that out in the garage. I was going to check the fluid level
and if it was low, I wanted to be able to top it off without having to drive a 100 mile round trip. Filled up the bike this
afternoon on the way home from work $3.87 a gallon.
Thanks again,
I have a quart of AMSOIL Synthetic Gear Lube 75w-90.
Is it the same as the Amsoil Severe Gear 75w-90? No problem
if it ain't; a buddy of mine is an AMSOIL dealer and can get
anything I want.
I warmed the engine up, let it settle a minute or two standing up
then checked the level by taking the dipstick out, wiping it and
putting it back thread to thread without screwing it in. It read
right on the full mark and it was clear as glass. Hard to read where it level was it was so clear. Don't need to add any, but when I get the 1000 mile service done, I plan on changing to AMSOIL so I want to get it right.
Thanks a lot guys.
The amsoil shows 20w50 as first choice and 75w110 as secondary. I got the 20w50 in right now but 75w110 in the bottle on the shelf. Plan on changing it tomorrow. Friend of mine's tranny is much quieter with it.
