Default Beach Bars

Anyone have Beach bars on their bike? Preferably on a Road King. If so, how do you like them? Any complaints? Have you done a long trip with them? How tall are you?

I've got 36" Buffalo Beach Bars.... Love them. I liked the lower bars. These have 4" rise, 7" pull back. The bars are much wider and more forward than stock. They look and feel more hot-rod... I'm 6'1" and they work great for me. I'll try to post a picture below.

I definitely don't want to be more forward than stock. It looks good, but since I'm only 5'6", I NEED the pullback.

Keep in mind that going wider than stock will also move you forward, opening up your chest. Try to keep your knucked in some sort of forward position (like the stock bars). If you get bars that pull straight back (like the RK Custom) it feels like your ridinga wheelbarrow and not comprtable IMO. Try wild one! http://www.wild1inc.com/handlebars.html Many options and a stat page. I beleive the stock RK are 7" rise, 9" pullback, 32" wide. Or very close to that. Good luck.

My husband is 6'4" and has broad shoulders. He rides a Road King Custom, and removed the Pullback Beach bars (which come stock), and put the regular Harley Beach bars on the bike. Because of his size, he says the bars are really comfortable. They also look really cool, so that's always a bonus!!

Yeah, that's why I was askin' the question about height. I know the wider the bars, the more forward I'll have to reach, so it kinda defeats the purpose of more pullback. You were close on the dimensions of the stock bars. The Flanders Handlebars website says they have 11" pullback. http://www.sideroadcycles.com/Americ...tock_Bars.html The bars that have caught my eye for the moment are the Klock Werks Mentele Bars. They're not quite as wide as regular beach bars, but they still have a lot of pullback. My goal is to be able to sit straight up, rather than have lean forward to reach the bars. I'd also like to avoid changin' the cables. If I was gonna change the cables, I'd probably go with 12.5" apes.

I have them on my RK Custom and can't wait to change them. The pull back is perfect but the angle sucks. It's like holding a wheel barrow while riding.
