So Im considering changing my V&H oval mufflers, to something quieter. As far as the MOCO offerings, they seem to have:
a. Stock
b. touring slip ons
c. Screaming Eagles
Ok, I know what A and C are, but what's the point/function of B? I mean, if your gonna replace your stockers, why would you go with the touring slip ons, and not the screaming eagles? If your not shooting for better flow performance/sound, why would you replace the stockers with B?
Would it be: Louder and different looks, but no remap expense required?
I think Touring Mufflers go back a bit in years, with a '00' suffix part number. Screaming Eagle stuff has all been revamped due to noise regs etc, which is probably why they are still in the book together.
Any use?
I had the Tourers on my Y2K RK & wished I'd never gotten rid - just right noise. Seems the SE's may be similar, perhaps, but will be my only choice as the Tourers don't fit the 08's?
So you think that the CURRENT screaming eagles, are toned down to about the same sound as the touring slip-ons of the past, but the Eagles maybe flow better? (but not as good as they did pre-07)?
