Gee, could it be the UNION costs and the UNION rules that would make that jacker cost $2000? You want things made in America, get competitive.I'm sick of UNIONS --
Amen to that
And another Amen....I had the misfortune of having to work under a Union once....never again. I do buy American as much as I can, but will not make a purchase decision based solely on where its made.

Yea right, unions are the problem! Maybe you should check out the history of unions and what they have done for workers over the years. Maybe you have a personal problem with your father and unions but as a whole unions have help more worker than hurt. I don't intend to get into a pro vs con union discussion but look at most of the benefits workers have today and know most are because of unions.

Yep, they have done a lot of good over the years. But, they have outlived their uesfulness. In today's world they have become a burden.

If you want to buy ALL AMERICAN, don't buy HD. You have choices out there. Any of the custom biuilders out there will be glad to sell you an ALL AMERICAN bike for say $60,000+. We have been in a global economy for more than 25 years, it is the way of business. There is no turning back.
Consumers will alwaysseek to buy the best products at the best prices. If they happen to be an American products, believe me you don't have to scream or shout, people will buy them. If you really don't want any foreign components in your purchase, you better not buy any products from Dell, Microsoft, Apple, HP, GM, Ford, Chrysler, etc. Come to think of it you better not fly inBoeing jets or rideHD motorcycles either.
A better arguement ishowdo we as American make ourself more competitve in term of quality, innovation and value such that everyone else around the globe will want to have American components in their foreign products.

Windup08, That is why I { RETIRED } AT 53. A UNION JOB for 30 Years and A RETIREMENT PACKAGE. Look around and see how many working people you know that can say that !!!! I agree, HD should sell more US made products. That is why I'M very selective about where my after market parts are made. And yes, my household goods as well. It's bad enough about the invasion from south of the Texas line by all the La cockroaches, without adding to the problem. My $.02

Yes they've outlived there usefulness because Walmart and Mcdonalds don't hire union workers. But thats the way we want it don't we.

I understand this rant, but a lot of American companies are owned by foreigners and vise versa...we own foreign companies as well! Remember, we seem to be drivenso much by dollars that we would sellour momma's....No one forced us to sell part of America.....Thus as said it's a global economy....we do benefit from fair market, and we do like the prices....Nothing is all American, the front forks on Harley's I think are still Showa ( could be mispelled )? The carbs were from Japan...Years ago, in the autoindustry they had tolist how muchwas from foreign countries. And I haven't heard any bitchin there! So, Honda Goldwings are made in Ohio... are they American? This could go on forever....next rant! my 2 cents...

Thank your union for child labor laws. Thank them for an 8 hour day. Thank them when they keep you from getting screwed by the man!! [sm=smiley32.gif]

You have a choice to either buy the Harley Motorclothes or not. If you don't want clothing made in China, or somewhere else, then don't buy it!

I know the world is going towards a global ecomony, but look how much it has hurt us since NAFTA. [:@]
