Lets be heard
People blaming the unions are ignorant. Sure the unions have their problems, (crooked bastards running them) but without the unions working folks here would be just like those in Mexico and China, living like slaves.
There's your reason so much is made in China, how can an American hope to compete with someone who will work for next to nothing?
Mark my words, at the rate we are losing good union jobs we will BE just like Mexico and China in a generation.
Hey, you don't think maybe American made goods cost more is because American companies have CEOs making obscene millions do you?

Why do you assume I am shielded by money? Why do you think I am in a bubble? Because I have a job?
Personally I think this is like talking to people that have been brainwashed and can no longer form their own thought.
Since youassumed you know me....let me give you a quick review. I have been workingsince I have been 15 years old. My father was killed in an accident when I was 14, so I had no choice. My brother and Iworked to pay our share of the expenses. This was everyday after school and weekends. We worked. We did not go on wellfare or except handouts. We did whatever job we could. I did not go to college, but I did attend a 2 year tech school. I got loans and paid whatI could for school.Again no handouts. I was responsible fo me. I dealt with it. I was not born with a silver spoon or into a wealthy family. My father joined the NAVY at 18 to get out of the coal mines in WV.
I have been laid of and I have switched jobs out of need over the years. I am married now and have 2 kids. I now make a good wage at a pretty good company. My wife works part time and goes to school. we can only afford 1 or 2 classes a semester at the community colege, but we get by.
And yes I am damn tired of paying for another freakin government program that allows deadbeats to sit on their *** on my nickle.
So, please do not tell me I am in some sort of bubble.
And you know what? I probably could not get a job now at 15 if i tried. Here in NE Ohio...(oh yeah the poorest county/city in the country last I heard) Since the state raised the minimum wage the summer jobs and part time jobs are damn near gone. Why? Business are hiring LESS WORKERS to make up for the hike. I know. I have heard this FIRST HAND from managers and small business owners.
My advice to you is to stop "learning" through the 6 o'clock news and find out facts for yourself. It is very eye-openeing. Remember - free your mind and you *** will follow.
I'll get off the soap box now...my damn boss is avoiding me.

So tell me, In a earlier post you say you are only spending $40 a month more on gas! I don't pay alot of attention to your other ramblings but I would like a little help with the $10 a week gas increase. I would like to "free my mind so my *** will follow"
I did not think the American Dream was to be mediocre and just get buy.
Now look where they're at.
The American Dream is on it's last legs.

I understand what you are saying. I do my best to buy American but it is impossible to do it for everything. I do not buy HD clothing, HD clothing is one of the biggest profits they have. I buy fox creek. Honda motorcycle company is moving out of the U.S... You will see more of that in the future. Support American workers by buying American when you can.
