I'm sick to my stomach,, I recently purchased a 06 Ultra Classic. Is this notthe greatestAMERICAN MADE Motorcycle assembledby UNION EMPLOYEES??????Last Saturday after my bike purchaseI ventured out to my my local HD store to be slapped in the face by the CHINESE again. What the hell,, why are weall letting HD sell this crap? This company needs to hear us all loud and clear. Let the owner know youwill not buy another CHINESE add on part period. I wanted to purchase a nice leather jacket for my GF and myself approx $700.00 dollars worth of made in China ****. Is there a reason that every HD store allows a great bike to be sold in the same store as this GARBAGE? Who allowed HD to sell these products?80% of the jackets and add on accessories aremade in CHINA.Are there any companies in this country HD can contract with? You bet there is, SPEAK up my fellow Americans. Do we want to replace steak with a bowl of Rice? Keep allowing HD to sell you parts and clothingmade in China. Watch as more HD employees get laid off.Can we all get together and stop thisbefore they start building the bikes inCHINA "HELL YES WE CAN".

Brooks is a company that makes leather here in the USA.Might there be a reasonHD can not contract with companies that make there products here. If we all send a letter to the CEO asking him what are you doing things will change the first is his job. Maybe if we tookhis 10,000,000 dollar CHINESE bonusaway things would change.If you are reading this and think we can't change this problem you are MISTAKEN. Start speaking up, start making posters at the HOG meetings ask the person in the store with you why are we buying this crap. Watch how quick HD gets the word.Lets all ban together and force HD to be "AMERICAN" they will listen. Maybe the CEO is Chinese LOL.......

Gee, could it be the UNION costs and the UNION rules that would make that jacker cost $2000? You want things made in America, get competitive.I'm sick of UNIONS an what they did to my father --See Allis Chamlbers being bought out by Duetz and what the UNION did to 31 workers.

 

Ah don't care if they're union or not - but yeah, I WOULD prefer that mah $$$ go to US companies.

I understand what your saying buuutttt, HD can sell whatever they want....we don't have to buy it. That's why I wear a Perfecto leather jacket (made in NYC), Redwing chaps (made in USA), and Frye boots (oldest USA-owned bootmaker), and that's why I don't use Syn3 anymore (Citgo made, Venezuela-communist--owned). If you don't like it, don't buy it - in this economy, our money speaks louder than our words.

 

Everybody here wants a bigger salary and benefits. Where do you think the money is going to come from? The cost of Chinese labor and benefits is WAY less!

Maybe one day we will wake up and learn to be content.
