I have ordered motorcycle accessories from at least 15 different internet places and Dennis Kirk was the only one that matched prices and I also had a tracking number that night. I even returned an exhaustfora full refund(i paid shipping)...but I called and got a return authorization.

I noticed the website has a price match guaratee and they will beat any price, except ebay, by a buck.
I called 'em on it once and got a nice price on a pair of Progressive 440s.
I have never had a problem with DK.

I would say this is a rare occurance but it really is interesting that the customer service department isnt better. I have run into problems with motorcycle parts places on the internet and it seems that they run them so much different then say a car parts store. They act like some hard a$$ because their "bikers" but really they are just trying to pose that way. Dennis Kirk is big enough that it is suprising that it would be that way. If you feel strongly about not paying the 10% keep working your way up the ladder until someone either refunds it or send you a free T-shirt. Sorry I sold out on the t-shirt offer once. Keep trying but dont let it get you down! Oh and by the way welcome to a fellow Fire and Iron brother. Station 17 up in southern Wisconsin says HI!

Hindsight being 20/20, I wish I would have called, but I didn't return it because it was scratched, I had no idea it was scratched. The item is milled 6061 aluminum. It was covered with machining marks from production. I have no idea what a scratch looks like on machining marks. I sent it back because it didn't fit my bike. I followed their policy of "no need for authorization" on returns. If I knew the item was damaged, I would have called. What's going on Station 17!!!

Iv'e returned items that I opened and never had a problem, although I did call first for return authorization.

I've ordered from DK quite a bit and have always had great service. Their catalog prices are high IMO but they do have a "we'll beat any price policy" so when I want to order something I find the lowest advertised price which is usually on the internet and call them with the website information and order the product and they have always beat the price and they ship very fast.
