I did the floorboards spacers and the heel guard. works like a dream. I went with the turn down guard instead of the one that wraps around the heel. still gives me lots of room on the board for my feet.

I put one of the Kuryakyn heel guards on my right floorboard....just kind of a chrome rod that keeps your heel from riding up against the pipe.....works good for me.

I've been there when my lovely wife put her boot on the pipe instead of the foot rest! You can use a couple of solvents ( be Careful )! I used gas on rag, lacquer thiner to cut right through the burnt on rubber...Blue Magic chrome polish will touch it up too! Good Luck!

what kind of boots do you wear?
My Justins have a shiny spot on the heal where it touches the exhaust sometimes, but they never melt.
Made in USA, about a hunert bucks

Here's a link to a side shot of the set-up. can get a closer shot later if you need. Went with the turn-downs instead of the turn-out or the straight bar since I had heard of folks having their pant leg or chaps get tangled up in them, especially when attempting to put your leg down at a stop. Haven't any of these issues with the turn down guard.
