Clutch Problem
My buddy and i went for a ride yesterday his clutch stopped working 20 miles into the ride. No clutch cable really lose we turned around headed back and he was speed shifting to get home. On the way back he hit a pothole and Bingo his clutch is back. went to the dealer to see if they couldhelp one of the parts guys at the dealer suggested the cable was overtightened and that caused oneof the ***** to slip out of it's socket. Then when he hit the bump it popped back in. He lent us the tools and we adjusted the clutch in the parking lot the bike seemed okay.
Should he be satisfied with that answer or look deeper? What else could cause this?
Particulars : 07 softail deluxe clutch was adjusted by mechanic 2 days prior.
