RK seat

Just got a new (to me) 97 RK. It has the stock seat (2 up w/backrest). Everyone tells me i should replace the seat (the only thing that is stock is the seat) is this true and if so what do you think.

Never taken anyrides over 100 miles yet. Butt plan's on doing many miles. So far so good. Just want to make the longtrips enjoyable.

Why don't you ride it awhile and see if you like the seat. If you do, keep it. If you don't, get a new one. Why buy a new one just because everyone tells you to?

I've clocked 2- 1000k plus mile tripson my Sundowner. Ain't not complaints here!

I have had 6 back surgeries and had to do some real research to find the right seat and then have it built for me; however, I'd say if you like the seat and it fits you why change it? I really like the look of the original seat, I just could not sit on it very long. If you want to go really custom (that's what I did) check out Alligatorbob.com You can call him and look at his site. He does great work.
