HD has redesigned the seats to be comfortable for the lenght of a test ride. The seat on my 08 EGC was terrible after 100 miles. Went with a Mustang and I'm happy.

I just completed a 2wk 2300 mile + ride on my new 08 Road King with stock seat. Twice I was in the saddle over 12hrs and noticed no discomfort. I'll stick with this stock seat for the time being since I was considering a Mustang seat before even sitting on the bike from all the horror stories of uncomfortable stock seats. Honestly I'm surprised how comfortable I was on my trip.

Not necessarily. I was simply making reference to my own personal experience with Harley products, in this case, the Ultra Classic, but I could have been talking about any bike the Motor Co. produces.

my 07 wasn't bad,,, but my 08 sux,,, had it reworked, still bad butt burn after 3 hrs.

I think I'll buy a cushioned butt pad

'08 RK Classic, great stock seat for rider +4 hours. Looking at the Sundowner Classic(for '08 if made)or MustangSolo, for a change of look only.
