Adding V&H Duals...what else do i need
Finally decided to add the V&H duals to compliment my Ovals on my 07King. My question is this.....what else do i need to do? Do Ihave to dyno the bike once i add the dual headers?
Note: I already have Hi-Flow air filter, SERT, and like i mentioned above (V&H Ovals)
My stealer says I'll have to get another dyno if i add the duals. They also say it'll take 5 hours to do so. Is that about the time it will take, or is the stealer just looking for the extra $$$$$.

My dyno tune took 5 hours and cost $450. I am super happy with the way I've been treated at the 2 dealers I frequent. I have an XL883 that I bought at a different dealership so I still go there from time to time. My RG has been in the shop several times for minor warranty work and also for the dyno tune and IDS install. They've done all the work professionally.
With an attitude like yours, you should probably find an independent shop to take your bike to. Stay away from all the HD dealerships. They just want to rip you off anyway, right?
Sorry for the rant but you deserve it.

Im really glad your happy with your scoot, and the service they provided you.
NOW.....I do not know if they are trying to ripp me off or lying to me, thats why i asked the question. The reason why I call it a stealer is because most of the times (Not all) thats what they are trying to do...Get u for your money. Are you gonna disagree that?I didn't think so.
As far as me having an attitude.......whatever bro!!! U have issues if you think I have an attitude. I asked a simple question to know what the good people here on this forum can recommend me, or advise me on. Thats what this forum is for, isn't it? If you have a problem with me asking something that I'm not sure about (or trying to get info on) its real easy...........don't respond.
So you can keep ranting if you want........

If you're planning on adding More Engine Mods then the stage 1 set-up . I would recommend PCIII or SERT (which would need to be fine tuned which means more $$ for a dyno). If however you DO NOT plan on doing additional engine changes then I would Recommend a V&H FuelPak..
Having the Dealer download there Stage i - They still have to make adjustments per current EPA Laws which will still leave your Engine LEAN and the more lean the hotter the ride...

I agree with both of you. Unfortunately the dealerships that I have encountered ( about 10 ) on a fairly regular basis do not have the communication skills needed to give a fair answer. I seldom can find a service department the is not full of themselves. However, there is the one or two tech's that will look you in the eye and be straight up.
Jaylo,
I have had the same stuck in the gut experiences and that is why I searched out an independent guy that is reputable and is willing to talk out the whole situation. He appreciates the business and the income. He also understands better, the connection with the machine and the man who paid for it. So, I would check that option. Nothing has satisfied me more than not having to feel like I want to slap the s*** out of an arrogant HD service dick.
Having the input from the dealer, independent shop and countless good folks here on the forum I recoment the HD products for the 08 models. HD has the bikes designed to work best with their stuff and the warranty issue has come to haunt a couple of my bro's that went thafter marke route. Re- Dyno is part of the deal unfortunately.
I'm glad I have the 08 RG but it is things like this that make me sometimeswish I'd kept my older bike. Other than the money issues I love the ride. When I'm on it all this crap is irrelevant.

Unfortunantly, there are people on here that are in bed with there dealers. This is a good thing for them. They have found a place that they like and are happy with and think that all shops are like the ones they frequent. These people need to get out and experience life at other shops. Make a few calls bro, and see what you turn up.
