I need some help if you have encountered this problem .. I have a 98 Ulltra Classic , the check light came on & reading the flashing code ( from shop manual ) it gives a code 56 . * Crank position sensor/ cam . Position sensor error !!! I was wondering if anyone has had this problem come up and what it took to get it corrected ? Is it just an adjustment , is it a part replacement & is it a shop only job ?? The Bike runs good with approx. 40000 miles .I would appreciate any help or advice . Trying to stay on a a retirement budget but want it to be done correctly . Thanks & Enjoy the Ride ..
and to erase any old codes disconnect battery, you can remove correct fuse..but i disconnect battery for electrical work...at 40000 miles...If sensor is original..very hi probability that it is giving up the ghost..
