Default 08 FLHRC Risers

I have my bike setup the way I want it with the exception of the handlebars. HD hasn't released much in the way of bars. I like the spread and grip angle of the stock bars except that I'd like to have them up about two inches and back an inch or so.

I see that HD makes a cover Harley Part Number 55854-07 Slammer Handlebar cover which allows the use of risers. Sounds like a perfect solution to bring the bars to the correct position for me.

Anyone done this or seen it? If so are the cables and brake line lengths OK? I know there is plenty of clutch cable. Thanks.

brake line and wires will be tight dont know how much rise youll get with the kit but if u go with a narrower bar it gives more lenght for the added height not sure what bars u can use with the fbw though.

dickf5187, i put 4 inch pullback risers on my wifes 08 rkc because she wanted the bars to do the same thing that you wantand there is plenty of wire and slack in the brake lines her bike has abs also. that cover that hd sells will work great.

Fruit, thanks for the response. This prompts a few more questions. Did you use HD rsers and if so which ones did you use? How about appearance? The stock setup is pretty clean. Look OK to you?

Again, thanks for your help.

dickf5187,here are some pictures of what i did the risers i got off of ebay for 45.00 with the top clamp. as you can tell i did not change the center trim i drilled the holes in it for the risers to come out the top. hers is a little more cluttered up with the rumble road speakers on because of the extra wires so if you get hd's cover it should be a real clean install.
