check engine light
i got a 2000 ultra when i go to start the bike i turn the ignition on wait for the check engine light to go off then start it then after the bike is running the check engine light comes back on for about 10 sec then goes off again is this normal and i just havent notice before or is a sensor about to go bad

It is showing that you have a historic code stored in the ECM. It will quit after about 50 ignition cycles, or you can have the dealer read the code for you. There is a way to pull the code using the speedo, but if you don't have the manual I wouldn't try it. PITA. If the bike is running well, then I would suspect it is nothing serious. One of the most likely codes like that is "combustion not detected". Check to make sure both plug wires are snapped onto the plugs firmly.
