2008 Road King Classic
Installed a power package from Fuel Moto in the spring of 2010 that included:
- V&H slip-ons
- Fuel Moto SE Stage 1 a/c
- PCV tuner that was mapped for my setup
Ran the bike down to Fuel Moto this spring for a complete tune on the dyno. Noticed a difference in the bike as soon as I left the shop...
Before tune: 74.99HP 82.04Tq
After tune: 80.83HP 95.85Tq

That's a 16% improvement in torque - quite an eye opener! Shows it is worth going to the trouble of doing things properly and well. You must be really pleased with those curves.

That frikkin +90 from 2500! Doesn't get much better than that without ANY internal work at all.

Yes, I am... I was surprised by the numbers myself. I wasn't expecting that much of a gain from a tune. I told Jamie that I wanted the bike to be as dialed-in as it could be without having any internal engine work done. The boys at Fuel Moto did that... It was quite the experience sitting in the other room while they had it on the dyno as well! A well spent $200.
I see guys with less compression getting better numbers, but for what it's worth:
'08 Ultra 103" Stage III, 10.5:1s, SE259E cams
90 HP
110 ft/lbs
Is it normal to drop from 50 to low 30s on MPG with this build??

Now that I have several thousand miles on the bike, I have a question. My fuel mileage is not what I expected. My friend with 08 CVO, 10.5:1s, 110ci and cams is getting better (along with several other friends with big bore kits). The average for my bike is about 36 mpg and now have back soot creeping out of the exhuast tips. Is this ok or should I drive 330 miles to DFW and get it re-dyno tuned? If so, who in DFW area is good?

THE DYNO DIFFERENCE in Dallas TX. Go see Ed Dahir. He will get you a better tune. Look on internet as well for more info on him. Top class.
