First of all let me say this post makes 100!!!! I got my Ultra back the other day. It had been in the shop for a couple weeks. I had new oem chromed wheels installed. A chrome front end, new Rhinehart true duals, S&S 510 cams with the gear drive set up. A 6 spd tranny gear set, chrome switch housings and levers. I picked up a set of SG guages with 11 miles and put them on. I also had a hitch dock hitch installed and wired for a pull behind trailer we just picked up. We plan on doing some cross country traveling this summer. I am still waiting for my front chrome calipers to arrive to install them with my new polished rotors. It is rainy and crappy out here in N CA. I will get good pics and post as the weather allows. I posted some on another thread yesterday from the garage. Bad pics. The bike runs awesome with the motor mods! Thanks for letting me express my happiness!!!

 

Sounds good. What is the adverage cost of a SE 6-speed install (Whole tranny, not the internals)

 

I don't about a whole trans. I bought an aftermarket gearset from Roadmax for $975.00. I did not get a breakdown for my install. I know there was about 2 hours of extra fabrication time involved in the install. Still alot cheaper than a SE gearset. It shifts fine, I just had to buy and have to install a programmable speedo sensor to get the speedo reading correctly. sorry, I can't give you an accurate answer to your question.
