I already searched but didn't find anything about my problem with my security alarm. Sometimes, when I try to set it with the FOB, it just will not activate. I usually hold it very close to the side panel where the alarm is mounted and this helps but not all the time. Then, onceI do get it to set, sometimes it won't de-activate and I have to use the turn signals to disarm it. I put new batteries in the FOB and both FOBS do the same thing so I don't think it would be a problem with them. I also wouldn't think the FOB's would need to be re-programmed since they will work sometimes. This problem comes and goes, it may do okay for a week, then act up 2-3 times in a row. I did have the siren installed when the bike was new and up until lately, have had no problems with the alarm. I know of the prob with being in an area with strong microwave transmissions which will cause it to act up but this happens intermitently in places I've been before with no problems. I have an '03 Ultra so if anyone has any advice or has had this problem and resolved it, please let me know before I get so %^&# aggravated, I throw the FOB in the river.....I'm okay now!

 

Kinda had the same problem...intermitant activation even with the FOB within range. Changed the battery (bought it at K-mart, available most anywhere), pryed it open with a dime (look for the indentation), swaped batteries,no more issues.
