I've got an 07 Street Glide. On the last 200 miles or so riding back from VA to IL for Rolling Thunder, my gauge started to act up. Either a dead empty reading with a low fuel light or an inacurate reading (3/4 with a fresh tank and abnormal burn off reading during the remainder of the ride home). Taking it in to the dealer. Other than the fuel sender, I suppose it could be a loose connection behind the fairing. We'll see what they are going to do.
I can say the gauge was spot on prior to this issue. I use my trip odometer anyway since I've been riding Harley's all my life, but I find I like the gauge to work and the idiot light being illuminated is disturbing on a long ride.
