Default Would a "Duracell" SG be that bad?

Hey folks.

Been going crazy the last few weeks. Was thinking about going with a Fat Bob but aside from none being in stock, I am now leaning towards a Street Glide. Like the idea of bags (need to carry small items much of the time), stereo (good to have) and guages (more I can read, the better). ABS might be a good idea also. Anyways. I know this paint combo has been discussed many times but here's what I like about it...

Pros
Two tone seat.
Copper emblems.
Easier to keep clean vs. black.
Chrome bag latch. Less scratches.
Lower production #with this paint combo on the road.
Dealer will knock off $1,000 with no hassle. Sure it could be pushed further.

Cons
Come resale time, will others want it?
Looks good but, black looks damn nice when new.
Doesn't have cruise control or alarm. Black one does.

Am I missing anything here?[&:]

Unles the paint schem trips your trigger, resale value (better or worse)will not be a factor.
It's a toy.

Be like everyone else. Get black.

I don't think resale will be any kind of a factor...yes, it's a less-common paint scheme, but it's not that uncommon. Ultimately, it's what you want and what you intend to do with the bike. If you're going to do a lot of customizing, I'd go with the black - more of a blank slate, and the Cruise is a nice option. Otherwise, you're just paying extra for all the 105 stuff that you'll wind up changing out anyway. If you really love the copper paint and such, then go for it.

If it melts your butter, then buy it. It really doesn't matter what anyone else thinks.

As for resale, I really don't think it mattters much. Just buy what you like regardless of what others have to say.

See if you can get the dealer to throw in the cruise control on the "duracel" as well. As for the alarm..that is a personal choice. You are worried about resale already????

I bought mine egc because I instantly liked it. I went in for a black one. Dont do it for the discount. I love it because its different and actually I think it looks best on the ultra with the tour pak and any bike with the 6 gal. tank. I didnt like any of the other bikes AT ALL except the touring bikes with that color but with the tour pak it really spoke to me and still does. Ya gotta get cruise though!!! Id be nervous without the alarm too .

I dont like them. Its a dead give away what year your bike is, and I plan to change mine to keep people guessing. Its all about what you think though, Im not making the payment.
