spark plug, pinging, octane question
stage 1 w/ race tuner, hp and torque excellent, runs great, but when hot getting a little pinging when accelerating hard.
octane helps pinging, reduced or eliminated
do you think a colder spark plug could also help?

I would start with looking at the afr... Sounds to me they tuned for power instead of ridability.... Thats the problem with most tuners as they really don't know what they are doing. They do what they are taught.... "gotta make the AFR correct"
I would sacrifice some power for a good rideable tune. SOunds to me some timing needs to come out on your low end...

Since your just running a stage one and I'm making an assumption that's all you have had done running 89 should not be a problem....
