Took a chance and ordered my R/G without a test ride....its Maine and middle of Feb.
Bike arrived mid May....planked my *** on the seat and been smiling ever since.
I had never been on a Harley before, so couldn't compare models except for
looks and styling.

I was riding a softtail (06 Fatboy), got tired of the sore butt and rented an Electraglide one Saturday. I rode it all day and the ride was unbelieveable. I traded the Fatboy about 2 weeks later for 08 Ultra. The softtails are okay around town, maybe 100 miles on the highway and you got to get off. I have ridden the Ultra on numerous 500 mile/day runs. Also, I find that the bagger handles much better in corners (never would have thought it possible).

I have to admit that I actually had pretty well decided to buy a Goldwing, but figured I'd go ride a Harley just to rule it out.
Don't ride a Harley, unless you are ready to buy !
