i bougth a rk 08 in jan,and i am 5ft6in tall or short for that matter,everything is far on this bike,ground and bars,has anyone replaced handlebars on 08`s with electronic throttle,a buddy recommende heritage bars,i ordered a pair but after verification the dealer could not install because of grooves machined in the bars,any recommendations

 

Have you tried a reach seat? Lots easier to change. will lower you and move you closer to the bars and controls. Its $300 bucks, 5 minutes to replace.Part number 52916-08

 

i have had the oem seat reworked,it was lowered to max and still very comfortable it was lowered apprx 1.5 in,is the part no:you mention&nbsp\\;a hd no:

Yea, its a Harley seat. If you have done the seat the bars are next&nbsp\\; I guess. I've read of other guys changing the bars on the 08's, I bet its expensive.

 

 

$35 for a set of stock&nbsp\\; Softail herritage bars and you don't have to chande any cables ..
