So I get the in-laws &\\; my folks all set to split kid sitting duty so me and wifey can get a long weekend break on the scoot.
 \\;
Planned on leaving NY early morning Wednesday for a ride down to TN. Figured I'd take the BRP down and do the wheels-time/dragon/Cherohala, etc. Come back on Sunday (5 days for some nice ridin with the mrs.)
 \\;
Realize now that the "Honda Hoot" is going on down there this weekend. Sport bikes everywhere.
 \\;
I'm sure I can get a room when needed along my travels, and after a pass or two on the dragon I'll be off on other more scenic crusin roads, any better options?????
 \\;
I know Laconia, but was lookin to head south for a change.
 \\;
Suggestions from my southern bretheren????????
Lol...just thinking about the roads, but guess there's plenty to choose from, so, I'm in, we're heading south!!!!
 \\;
Ironhorse is booked. I know Tapoco rates well, and Deals Gap is all location. We always travel without plans so I'll be lookin for something when we roll into town, never been skunked and made some of the best memories this way over the years. Wonder how these stack up from those who stayed there:
[ol][*]Punkin Center Motorcycle Resort[*]Dragon's Rest Cabins[*]Cabins at Nantahala[*]Kickstand Lodge[/ol]
There's always tenting too, not looking to this trip though. Any of them in dry country?
On your way to the BRP...look up Rt 250 between Elkins, W.VA and Staunton, VA...its 100 miles of riding better than the Dragon IMHO...Route 50 in W.VA is also a lot of fun.
