Never reley noticed, but just came back from a 1000 mi. ride over the weekend and all I get is a 145 mi. per tank as well. I had thought I would do better @ cruising speeds, oh well I will have to check mine now that you bring it up. Thanks for the heads up...

Scuse me but isint a tenth of a mile every ten miles 1%? I think the speedo calibration from factory is a +/- 5% spec..... So, if it was off 5%, that would be 75 miles on 1500.... Didn't any of your buddies have GPS?

Nobody had a gps that I was with. \\; The 1/10 per 10 miles was an estimate based on looking at mile markers going 70 mph. \\; Now that the rain is gone, I will take bike to work tomorrow and set trip meter to zero and take gps. \\; If calibration is supposed to be 42,500, which direction would I go if my bike is not recording enough miles? \\; I assume I can calculate a percentage of difference between gps and trip meter and use same percentage to change the calibration number? \\;

Re some of your thoughts on mileagae. \\; I got as high as 46 on the trip using the miles that my riding partner had on same tank of gas. \\; He was getting 51 with an 06 roadking. \\;
