had the same poping as others have. finally the left speaker quit all together. \\; the set was replaced under warrenty. no more problems. \\; good luck \\; \\; Bob
Assuming there is nothing wrong with either headset, check \\;the audio features of intercom and CB.  \\;If the intercom and/or the CB are "ON" and the VOX setting on the intercom is too low so that it is open all the time, or the CB squelch is set too low so that static is heard, you will hear those noises through the headsets. The design allows those two audio channels to interrupt the radio audio. The fix is to go to "setup" on both the CB and intercom, and while in setup mode, turn down the sound until "Mute" shows on the screen. Or just turn them off.

You can use either the intercom or CB while listening to the radio/CD player once they are setup. When a signal is heard, or one of you uses the intercom, they will override the radio, but you can still hear the radio in the background.
Yes, I had that problem as well. \\; The first headset that they delivered with the bike made horrible distorted/popping noises in the right ear when I turned the volume up enough to begin hearing the music at 60 MPH. I took it back to my dealer and they replaced it. \\; The second one was much better, but I have discovered that the VOX setting on intercom can interfere with the volume setting on the radio in the headset. \\; I have to agree with others that the headsets are really cheaply made. The speakers are marginal at best for music, and they aren't as good as the economy headsets from J&\\;M that I had for my old GoldWing. \\; I plan to look for a replacement lower cable for the J&\\;M sets to allow me use of them with the Ultra.

We fortunately have not had the popping problem, so far. One issue though is that the cord is too short and my wife complains that it pulls on her and so doesn't care to use it. While that's not so bad a thing sometimes, it would be nice if was about 6-10 inches longer.

Really enjoying the new 08 Ultra Classic. From day one been very disappointed with a "snapping" or "crackling" in both HD headsets when volume is turned up enough to hear radio or CD at cruising speed. Noise is worse in left speaker. At 1000 mile check asked dealer about it and they said it was normal. NORMAL? Surely you can tell me they are wrong and that my sound system has an issue....can't you? What should I do?
Thanks

Had the same "popping/buzz" also in my '08 Ultra and found that the BASS was way high and overpowering the headset. Reduced it and the noises went away.
