Default magneti-marelli flywheel tooth reference

I know this is a long shot for an EFI fuel system with such a bad rap, but, does anyone out there know which flywheel&nbsp\\;tooth&nbsp\\;should line up with the crank sensor when #1 is @ TDC on compression? Like, when we're looking at the flywheel on the timing mark side, which tooth, beginning at the area where the two teeth are missing, should be lined up at the sensor and counting each tooth in a clockwise direction? Should the sensor be centered at the leading edge, the center, or the trailing edge of the tooth? I hope you can understand what I'm after.&nbsp\\; Thanks

Default RE: magneti-marelli flywheel tooth reference

my knowledge is limited and this exceeds anything i have done but
per HD service manual pn99483-98 for 1998 flt models section 8-12 and 8-13
for static timing:
1-remove spark plugs
2-jack up bike
3-shift bike into fifth
4-stand on left side and rotate rear wheel in COUNTER CLOCK direction until front intake opens and closes as viewed through spark plug holes
5-continue rotating rear wheel until TDC mark(VERTICAL LINE) is in center of timing inspection hole.
for dynamic timing:
1-install timing mark view plug in inspection hole
2-connecting inductive timing light to front spark plug cable and battery positive
3-you are looking for two horizontal dots....(. .) in center of hole when engine is at 1050-1500 rpm
****does any of this help?, i remember when i changed the cam position sensor there was no adjustment possible on my bike 1998 road king classic efi at the plate...two screws and they were in a one position possible situation...one on the left and one on the right inside the cone..the cup had a cut-out that ran through the sensor..hope this helps.
