Default Security System Issue

Recently replaced the battery on my 06 RG and followed the reset instructions for the security system and thought all was well. The "idiot" light was remaining on prior to the reset. After the reset, it seemed normal and now after riding a few mile the "idiot" light remains a solid red. Any suggestions ?

Thanks

&nbsp\\;&nbsp\\; I just had my battery unhooked for a month while doing a rebuild, I didn't know of any reset to be performed..I haven't done any thing since reinstalling battery, and my alarm seems to work ok..
&nbsp\\;&nbsp\\; I have a 2006 streetglide&nbsp\\;with factory security system, but I put the Radio Shack alarm on it.&nbsp\\;
&nbsp\\;&nbsp\\; I guess I'll follow this and see if I need to do something diff???????

I ripped the radio out of my '07.&nbsp\\; Didn't know what to expect, but the alarm light came on steady for a while, then went out.&nbsp\\; Been workin' normal for nearly a year now.&nbsp\\; I have no idea how it worked, but it did.

Another thing I wasn't expectin', was the clock.&nbsp\\; I figured I'd just loose the clock when I got rid of the radio &lt\\;shrug&gt\\;&nbsp\\; To my surprise, it just comes up as the 4th item on the odometer.&nbsp\\; Used to use trip "A" as a backup for the gas guage (still do...kind of), but with the guage &amp\\; the Zumo I figure I should have a clue about when to get gas so I just leave things on the clock.
